Affiliate Information

Affiliation with FCII gives rise to a "mutual preferred provider" listing of certified fire investigative resources resulting in marketing, financial, and professional advantages to its affiliate members.

Advantages

  • FCII will provide assistance in promoting our mutual services to current and potential clients within your market area.
  • Specialized skills and services such as background investigations, expert witness services, computer forensic investigation, etc. will be available to affiliates to supplement basic investigative skills in specific geographic locations.
  • The affiliate member is the Account Manager for all investigations originated by the affiliate member and conducted through the referrals of FCII.
  • A specific agreed fee will be allotted to FCII per case for peer review of the reports generated by that referral. FCII will market the capabilities of FCII and the affiliate company.
  • Affiliate members are assigned a geographical area in which they are the primary fire investigative resource of FCII.
  • Website design, administration, and hosting services are available.

Requirements

  • There are no upfront costs or membership fees to be an affiliate member of FCII.
  • Each affiliate member must be a certified fire investigator (CFI) and have at least five years of verifiable investigative experience with a local, state or Federal law enforcement agency, or licensed private investigative firm.
  • Affiliate members must have a 24/7 communications capability and be able to respond to communication requests within twelve hours to provide the required service level to current and potential clients.
  • Affiliate members of FCII determine their own fee and expense schedule with the client. Affiliates manage all invoicing.
  • Affiliate members are required to be professionally licensed in accordance with the laws of the state and/or country in which they conduct investigations.
  • Affiliate members are required to maintain appropriate professional and motor vehicle liability insurance, errors and omissions coverage or bonds in an amount agreeable to FCII.
  • Affiliate members agree to "peer review" the report(s) generated on the case referred to them through FCII. A control- numbered paragraph will be issued upon the review only when the report meets or exceeds ASTM standards and NFPA guidelines (FCII will work with the affiliate to assist in meeting the requirements).
